Privacy Policy
The short version
When you ask for a free class or send a message, we get your name, phone, email and which class you want. Coach K uses it to call or text you back and set up your class. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their marketing. You can ask us to delete it any time.

What we collect
- Identifiers and contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
- What you tell us in a form or message: who the class is for, a child's age if the class is for a child, the class you picked, and anything you write in the message box.
- Internet activity: basic technical data your browser sends when you visit, such as IP address, browser type and the pages you view.
We do not ask for payment card details on this website. We do not ask for a child's name.
How we collect it
- Directly from you, when you fill in a form, call, or text us.
- Automatically, from your browser, when you load a page. The map on our site is provided by Google and may set its own cookies.
- From review sites such as Google and Facebook, when you choose to post a public review about us.
How we use it
- To reply to you and schedule your free class or answer your question.
- To send the text messages you agreed to (see SMS messaging below).
- To keep the website working and secure, and to prevent spam and fraud.
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping records the law requires.
We use your information for marketing messages only if you opted in to them.
Companies that handle data for us

These companies may use the data only to provide their service to us. Our website host also processes the technical data described above in order to serve the pages.
How long we keep it
- Requests from people who did not become members: up to 2 years.
- Members' contact records: for as long as you train with us, until you ask us to delete them.
- Billing records: 7 years.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information and limit who can see it. No method of storing or sending data is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct it.
- Delete it.
- Stop sending you marketing messages.
- Stop sending you texts. Reply STOP to any text, or tell us.

SMS messaging
If you check the text message box on one of our forms, Buffalo Black BJJ may text you at the number you gave us. Messages are about your free class, scheduling, class reminders and your questions. Follow-up offers are sent only if you check the separate, optional box for them.

This section applies to California residents and adds to the rest of this policy. It is also our notice at collection.
Categories collected in the last 12 months: identifiers and contact details; the form and message details listed under "What we collect"; internet activity. Sources: you directly, your browser automatically, and the service providers named above.
Why we collect them: to reply to you, schedule classes, send the texts you agreed to, keep the site secure, and meet legal duties.
Who receives them: only service providers that work for us (customer records and messaging, maps, website hosting). We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sensitive information: we do not ask for sensitive personal information on this website. We do not use any information to infer things about you for marketing.

Children's privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Requests for a kids class come from a parent or guardian, and the form asks only for the child's age, not the child's name. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell you before it takes effect. To see an earlier version, contact us. Our Terms of Service are at /terms.
